TIPS AND TRICKS- We will enlighten you!

...and like Bruce- "we beat high prices"!

Win NT,2000

On connecting a modem under win 2000-....well yes it can be done with a little voodo witchcraft, and heres how. First off you will propabley half to go to the MSN website and download the driver, most drivers off of third party disks don't seem to be working for me.Then its a lot of trial and error...

Linux, Unix

Lets get this damm OS running on the internet, have run into various problems. Finding a ISP and internet browser to work on Linux to name a few.
One noted problem with linux systems is the lack of support for modems.NO WIN MODEM WILL WORK WITH Linux.I have heard that some mandrake sys can use them but this is doubtfull. Your next bet is purchasing a modem by lucent, which will run you about 50$ and up, these are specifically made to run on Linux.
Also you will probably half to be somewhat familiar with PPP protocols which can be tricky- give it a go..

Win 95, 98, and ME SECTION- as far as I am concerned, this bundle of operating systems can take a dive in the trash, after using Win 2000 with its exceptional performance, the falts of these older operating systems really comes out

WINDOWS XP- Not quite out yet, the office edition has come out, but the main OS is still in Beta.
Well finally got my hands on it, and to my suprise !it sucked!!! Lets start a description of it by mixing the bells and whistles of win98 togeather with the kernal of NT(2000) and give it a timer to explode in 14days(no joke)-well Microsofts brilliant solution to piracey is to make a manditory registration. If you don't register /poof/ up in smoke- james bond style! LOL
Take if from me, i'll let this one pass buy,I can only see more Linux in my future if Microsoft chooses to treat its customers this way.
yep -done that hated that
